Marin County Immigrant Rights Training - Become a Trained Immigrant Rights Advocate
Saturday, June 17th Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin
240 Channing Way, San Rafael
This Know Your Rights presentation is for people giving trainings to clients and community members who want to know what rights individuals have during an ICE raid, or during an interaction with immigration or law enforcement at home or in public. Updates on immigration law, policy, and practice will also be briefly covered. We will conclude with a “Next Steps” discussion about how to get involved in advocacy.
Wellness Gathering meets every Tuesday at 4 p.m. This group includes people from all walks of life and is a time for reflection, meditation, prayer, and conversation of a spiritual nature. Facilitated by the Chaplain, the Chaplain Assistant, or one of our dedicated volunteers, the aim of the group is to develop spiritual practice as a community. The rituals and conversation stem directly from the participants. Wellness is followed by dinner which is prepared and served by the participants themselves.
