Let Light Shine!

This is the theme of our fall stewardship campaign, and also, from Scripture! ;)

You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot b e id. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see you good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

This is what Brian Taylor in his book Becoming Human says about this passage:

Be yourself. For by seeing you as you really are, by seeing your light, others will seein you the One who is the source of your light. By keeping your saltiness, others will taste the Spirit as it moves through your life. And then they, too, will know that the only place they will ever find God is in the authenticity of their own life experience.

Food for thought!
