Tsunami relief

Let us take the time we need today to pray for our Mother earth and for our global community, brought together by this disaster of incomprehensible proportion.

Let us pray for the people of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Somalia, Myanmar, Maldives, Malaysia, Tanzania, Bangladesh and Kenya,

Let us pray for the souls of the more than 100,000 people killed by the tsunami, for those still missing and for all of us who grieve. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Let us pray for the five hundred thousand people injured, for the five million people left without shelter, food, or clean drinking water. For the children orphaned and for those who have lost all their family.

Let us pray for the global relief effort, that governments around the world may respond with huge generosity and long term compassionate aid, and that the people of the world may do the same.
