The Tour de France and sermon illustrations

This morning I watched the Tour de France live on television. I watched as Lance Armstrong was clipped by a spectator and fell down, taking another rider with him. I watched as the field WAITED for him to catch up, in an incredible show of sportsmanship. As Lance was struggling to re-mount his bicycle, the TV showed those who had just passed him conferring and deciding to slow down. Amazingly, Lance caught up with them, then proceeded to pass them as he seemed to gain strength from not one, but two falls in rapid succession. He won this stage of the race, the last of those held in the Pyrenees. It was in Lance Armstrong's words, "an epic day." And an epic illustration. Watch for it in an upcoming sermon!
